Tab Trade - What It Is
TabTrade launched in March 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
His background tells you something. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker this new, that coverage is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That will round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The speed is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. But be part of your decision.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You put money in, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
